Alex Iwobi has dismissed claims that his former Everton team-mate and current Juventus striker Moise Kean is a “failed wunderkind”.
The 23-year-old has played for some of the biggest clubs during his career, from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain to his current home in Turin.
Moise Keane was also at Everton during this time, but despite his poor form at Goodison Park, Alex Iwobi insists he still has quality, as As he told FilthyFellas.
Back in 2019 Everton signed the then-teenage Keane from Juventus for £25m (BBC Sport) but he just couldn’t make it to the Premier League.
When the striker made his breakthrough as a young player in Italy, there were a lot of expectations on his shoulders.
He has scored just four goals in his 39 appearances for the Toffees, and despite his better form at Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, Iwobi has backed his former team-mate.
“I wouldn’t say he failed (prodigy),” Iwobi said. “Did you see him score 18 goals at PSG? Obviously, you’re at PSG and you always get chances.
“But 18 goals, anywhere. You get me! Good. I think he’s good.”

MOISE KEAN still has time to shine
At 23, Keane is struggling to elevate his game to the highest level many expected him to be in his teens.
In what has been a troubled and points-deducting season for Juventus, Kean has scored a respectable six goals in Serie A and found his way in the Champions League.
But now is the time for the all-around forward to put his chest out and sprint to 20+ because he has the ability and skill to do it.
