Atwater has had to deal with many issues in his life, from his family’s conflict with statutes and serving a prison sentence, to raising his younger siblings as they grow into authorized guardians. Hawkins’ favorite scene has nothing to do with Atwater’s work.

Hawkins mentioned in a recent interview with NBC’s One Chicago that his main scenes so far include a second probability and redemption for Atwater.

Then he let his guard down and Celeste got into trouble. Hopefully this threat doesn’t come to Atwater again sooner or later because he doesn’t know her well enough.
