Ibrahim Yaro Suleiman, the former chairman of the Kaduna state branch of the People’s Democratic Party, has reportedly died.
Suleiman is said to have died of a long illness.
In a letter of condolence signed by the state’s publicity minister Abraham Cato and provided to journalists, he expressed his sympathies to the family of the deceased.
The statement read: “The entire state executive committee headed by chairman Felix Hassan Hyyat expresses sympathy to the immediate family of the state’s first chairman, Ibrahim Yaro Suleiman, who has long died of illness.”
The statement described the late former PDP chairman as a shrewd statesman and elder statesman of great value to the country.
It further commended his contribution to the development of the party across the state during his lifetime and said his contribution will never be forgotten.
