Princess Islamiyat Oyefusi, convener of the Soul Lifter Foundation, will donate medical vans for medical outreach to communities in Lagos State.
The convener, the daughter of the late Ayangburen of the Ikorodu kingdom, said the aim was to provide free medical services to communities without medical centers and far from general hospitals.
The vans aim to diagnose 400 people per trip, Oyefusi said.
She explained that the medical vans would go around communities throughout Lagos State and help deliver medical services to the community, rather than on an annual basis.
Oyefusi also noted that it will be on the front line helping vulnerable people with their medical needs, even providing free consultations with doctors.
Free diagnostics in all areas of health will be free, she said.
“The aim is to provide free medical services to communities that do not have medical centers and are far from general hospitals.
“This medical van will not be doing medical outreach for a year, but will be going around communities throughout Lagos State, just to help provide medical outreach to the community.
“It’s about helping vulnerable people on the front lines with medical needs, even free consultations with doctors. It’s a medical outreach, but in a van that’s driving around,” she said.
