In a recently released excerpt describing how the royals and their staff dealt with the need for Harry and Meghan to carve out new roles for themselves outside of established functioning royal models, Low described a former palace insider as as “extremely incompetent”.

“I believe Meghan thinks she’s going to be Britain’s Beyonce,” the source told Low.

“She gets that reward as a member of the royal family. And she finds there are so many guidelines so ridiculous that she can’t even do what she might as a non-public individual, which is hard.”

Low claimed that the final decision on whether a half-in, half-out mannequin was acceptable was made by the Queen herself.

When you have such a transparent point of view, it’s hard to say, ‘Why not’ we take this kind of Way 10% as an alternative to 20%? Compromise is off the table, away from the queen.”
