Munawar Iqbal Faruqui (born 28 January 1992) is an Indian stand-up comedian and rapper. He participated in the first season of Kangana Ranaut’s reality show Lock Upp, which aired in 2022, and ended up being the winner.

early life
On January 28, 1992, Farooqi was welcomed by Indian Muslim parents in Junagad, Gujarat state. When he was 16, his family moved to Mumbai after sectarian violence in Gujarat state in 2002 destroyed his home. His mother died shortly after the tragedy.
When his father fell ill, he had to work at 17 to support his family. While still in school, he worked in a store that sold kitchenware.
In his early twenties, he pursued a career in graphic design. In 2017, when numerous OTT platforms were launched in India, he became aware of humor and started working as a comedian. In the same year, he also started working as an actor.

Munwar Faruqui has been embroiled in a series of scandals over his testimony in stand-up comedy performances, and is often embroiled in conflict.
