Penn HS student gets world’s only perfect AP calculus result

Felix Zhang accurately answered all 108 questions this spring, a feat accomplished by one of 270,000 students.

MISHAWAKA, Ind. — This spring, a high school student in Indiana accomplished a feat no one else in the world could accomplish.

Felix Zhang, a junior at Penn Excessive College in Mishawaka, is the only student in the world to accurately answer every question on the AP Calculus AB exam.

That’s 108 questions out of 108!

In response to Penn-Harris-Madison College Company, approximately 270,000 college students worldwide took the test. Twenty percent of the academics scored an ideal “5” on the test, and Zhang’s only good grade was.

He mentioned WNDU that while some problems were some alternatives, he never had to guess at a solution, although he did go back and change a solution when reviewing his work.

“It was pretty shocking because once I got in and took a look, I didn’t actually expect anything, obviously I needed to do the right thing and I was ready to load up but I never thought too early to get the ideal final As a result, for that was a good shock,” Zhang said.

The Zhang family does not consider mathematics. His mom taught the subject at Indiana College South Bend, and his dad taught math at Notre Dame.
