Former Scientology chief claims he saw John Travolta kiss masseuse
John Travolta writes explosive new diary after kissing masseuse in front of Scientology’s Big Fish
Mike Rinder, who was at the top of the group when he left the group in 2007, wrote in “A Billion Years: My Escape from Life at the Highest of Scientology” that he was assigned to help married stars “Pulp Fiction” , 68, allegedly had “some PR issues” when he witnessed a kiss.
He remembers talking to Grease and Pulp Fiction stars in hotel suites.
As they spoke, Travolta’s masseuse walked into the room in a bathrobe and kissed the actor on the lips.
“I’ll be there soon,” John said as the masseuse walked to the bedroom, Lind wrote. “Just in front of a senior Scientologist official, it was very shocking. It just wasn’t done. I think it showed his trust in me.
A representative for Travolta had no comment.
Lind claimed he was brought in by the church to help Squash talk about Travolta’s love life.
“Beginning in the early 1990s, Travolta was haunted by stories of various alleged male lovers, including one of his former pilots and a porn star,” Lind wrote.
According to the book, the group got to work after the National Enquirer contacted Travolta’s team about the upcoming story.
“Aware of the potential PR harm of gay sex stories to the ideals of Scientology John and Kelly [Preston, Travolta’s then wife, who passed away in 2020]We dug up our sources and threatened the media with lawsuits,” Rinder wrote.
Rinder, the co-host of Australian-born Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, wrote that the church claims it is not anti-gay, “but the threat of a story describing a Scientologist as gay would cause internal panic because, for a Scientologist, No ‘cure’ for homosexuality would show that the technology doesn’t work”.
Rinder also wrote: “There is a lot of discussion about John’s sexuality, regardless of the reality of his sexuality, and I firmly believe he would have been more open if it wasn’t for the shame of his strong belief in Scientology.”
A spokesperson for Scientology told Page Six: “Mike Rinder is a die-hard liar who tries to profit from his dishonesty…he organized harassment of his former church and its Leaders come to support themselves, including by providing false police reports, seditious propaganda and deceptive media coverage.”
Travolta’s wife Preston died of breast cancer in 2020. She is 57 years old. The couple had three children, including a son, Jett, who died in 2009 at the age of 16. daughter Ella, 22; and son Benjamin, 11.
