Tom Kim, Adam Scott led the fight for the International Team in the President’s Cup

Quail Empty (USA), Sept. 25 (IANS) Worldwide Group named the reliable American Group’s long shots and suckers set up a great fight. While they weren’t 1-4 the first two games and then 1-4 again, they improved their score in games three and four.

Propelled by the very young Kim Joohyung (also known as Tom Kim) and the old Australian Adam Scott, the International tied the USA 2-2 in the 3rd round of fours before winning the 4th Fourball 3-1. Kim and Scott won their games on a busy third day, including early and evening sessions.


The score is now 11-7, better than 8-2 after the first two games. 12 singles will be played on Sunday (late night in India).

In a group of four, the two international highlights came from Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama, who beat Cameron Young and Colin Morikawa 3 and 2 respectively. Tom King then joined KH Lee to beat world number one Scotty Scheffler and Sam using 2 and 1.

However, Fourball was back in the evening and Tom Kim showed us the way, this time with Si Charm Kim, who went 1-up to the likes of Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.

Sungjae Im and Sebastian Munoz scored a second for the International as they beat Tony Finau and Kevin Kisner 3-2 and veteran Adam Scott, who showed why he was by adding individual Australian Cam Davis and beating Billy Horschel and Sam Consumes Respected in the Presidents Cup 1.
